Hibernate ‘unexpected end of subtree’ error

While using Hibernate, I ran across this IllegalArgumentException which details the mystifying “unexpected end of subtree”. Well, after doing some poking around, I found that you can get this message if your parameter list passed to Hibernated is empty. I checked, and, sure enough, I had a parameter list that was empty. Seems that the Hibernate folks could make this message more meaningful…
