How to display info about a PCI bus in the system (and the device connected to it)

  1. Open a terminal window by going to Applications > Accessories > Terminal.
  2. In the Terminal Window, enter:
    lspci | grep

    Then press Enter.
    For example, typing

    lspci | grep BCM43

in my terminal window produces the result:

06:05.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)
