How to show whether a specific kernel module is loaded

  1. Open a terminal window by going to Applications > Accessories > Terminal.
  2. In the Terminal Window, enter:
    lsmod | grep

    Then press Enter.
    For example, typing

    lsmod | grep b4

in my terminal window produces the result:

    b44 28432 0
    ssb 32260 1 b44
    mii 6400 3 b44,8139cp,8139too
